The Shipyard artists welcome you!

The largest artist studio community in the U.S. is in San Francisco's Hunters Point Shipyard and Islais Creek Studios: painters, sculptors, printmakers, jewelry makers, textile artists, and more.

Browse 250 working artists online. Studios are open to the public twice a year during Open Studios events. You may visit artists by appointment year-round.

Holiday Party graohic

The artists at Hunters Point Shipyard and Islais Creek Studios thank the many art lovers who attended our
Holiday Party and Art Show Sunday, December 3!

Featured artist: Eileen David recently updated her Shipyard artist page with new paintings of unexpected San Francisco and Bay Area views.  "I think of my work as an ongoing dialogue I have with the everyday environment. As I roam the streets of the city or while driving in my car, I feel as an explorer, searching for those moments when I get a visceral response to what I see. Observations of same scenery repeatedly over time, the play of light in different atmospheric conditions, eventually render the ordinary, extraordinary.
