The Shipyard artists welcome you!

The largest artist studio community in the U.S. is in San Francisco's Hunters Point Shipyard and Islais Creek Studios: painters, sculptors, printmakers, jewelry makers, textile artists, and more.

Browse 250 working artists online. Studios are open to the public twice a year during Open Studios events. You may visit artists by appointment year-round.

Featured artist: Mary Ciofalo's recent art defies categorization. "I am primarily a watercolorist. I love watercolor’s fluidity and its liquid surprises.... Creativity is essential to my well being and to my spirituality. I become cranky when my creative flow is stagnant. This year I have been exploring leafless trees and the energy around them and birds. I’m also playing with things I have loved throughout my life by reviving some sewing, making some Paper Doll People, and quote magnets of sayings that tickle or grab me." Her Shipyard artist page is full of her latest work. See more and meet her in person during Fall Open Studios October 21-22 in Building 125, just north of the main parking lot at the edge of the Bay.
