Anne Subercaseaux

My oil paintings are a visual exploration of structures and forms, both in natural and urban environments. Seeing lights and shadows projected onto forms allows me to paint abstract compositions in closer proximity. My graphic design background in architectural and engineering offices led me to observe and compose abstract views, those which I encounter in daily urban life. Currently, interior spaces in contemporary buildings capture my attention. These compositions have led me to another level of abstraction in my work.
