By drawing the viewer into direct engagement with elements of vibrant nature, my paintings create a sense of refuge and awakening.
Art has been my lifelong joy and passion; I was raised and trained amid the natural beauty of the New Hampshire mountains and seacoast, and as a teenager I was an exchange student in Kyoto, Japan, which deeply influenced my concepts of beauty, balance, and form. I work primarily with forms from the natural world; animals, plants, water, sand. I strive to convey the grace, strength, and fragility of life, as well as its lush vitality.
