Ann Phelan was born in San Francisco and is a graduate from Barnard College, NY, where she studied art history and studio practice. Phelan’s work has been exhibited since the 1990’s. Her work was included in shows at a gallery in Zurich at Kulturfolger, and at Sandra Lee Gallery in San Francisco. While sharing a studio with Lawrence Ferlinghetti in the early 90‘s her artwork was influenced by his mentorship. The artist works out of her studio in Hunters Point and Pt. Reyes and lives in Novato, CA with her daughter and husband.
