Fall Open Studios 2017: Getting around the Shipyard

During construction of the future Studio Building, Galvez St. is blocked and the Building 101 parking lots are gone.

As you turn left from Innes St. onto Donahue St. to enter the Shipyard our Open Studios staff will direct you to parking. Please let them know if you have mobility issues that require accessible parking.

Buildings 104, 115, 116, 117, and 125 are beside the main parking lot. Building 101 is a short, well-marked walk from the main lot via McCann St. and a paved pedestrian and wheelchair path. All studios and parking areas are within about a 5-minute walk of one another.

A free shuttle van will run frequently from the accessible parking area to the main lot and and Buildings 104, 115, 116, 117, and 125. After that it will stop at both ends of Building 101 and return to the accessible parking area. The van will stop anywhere on its route for anyone who wishes to use it.

The Muni 19 Polk bus route to Hunters Point ends a few steps from the Building 101 path and a short walk from Buildings 104, 115, 116, 117, and 125.

Many studios are accessible to visitors with mobility issues. We regret that other studios are not wheelchair-accessible pending completion of the new studio building and future improvements in Building 101.

For further information see the Open Studios map and directions to the Shipyard and Islais Creek Studios.
