Michele Walther will present some of her original ” looper” compositions for violin, with dance interpretations / inspirations by Mark Galvan, a contemporary dancer and instructor, in the gallery, surrounded by the current exhibit “Four Square.”
Michele Walther – violin and live looping & Mark Galvan – dance will perform music by Corelli, Piazzolla, and originals by Michele, paired with expressive Japanese Butoh dance theatre.
Live looping works like a “one-woman-orchestra”, with Michele playing multiple parts at the same time.
Groupmuse is a worker- and musician-owned cooperative seeking to uplift artists and strengthen broader community bonds through live, intimate performances of historically-rooted music.
