News from Hunters Point Shipyard artist Jenny Wantuch:
I am participating in three art shows this February.
SKY at The Drawing Room

I painted “Sun over Monterey Bay” during the wildfires in Northern California in the summer of 2020. The sky was filled with smoke and ashes and this created unusual colors of the sky. I was interested in capturing these warm orange and pink tones typically seen during sunset, but that during a period appeared all day long.
The painting is part of the group exhibition SKY at The Drawing Room in San Francisco.

New Paintings Available at Avenue 12 Gallery

I recently delivered two new paintings to Avenue 12 Gallery in San Francisco. The painting, “Akaroa Sound”, is inspired by the landscape in the South Island of New Zealand. The second painting is “Gualala Point”, and it is inspired by a plein air painting I did in Gualala on the Northern California Coast.
