Solo show at Desta Gallery in Mill Valley
Silvia Poloto‘s solo show of new abstract works “HABOTAI series” at Desta Gallery in Mill Valley runs from November 6 to December 6, 2020. Desta gallery is open to the public (following COVID guidelines) from Tuesday to Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The HABOTAI series is a continuation and extension of Silvia’s exploration of Wabi-Sabi principles, where the expressionistic nature of the HABOTAI is built upon the simplicity of the Wabi-Sabi.
The minimalism and structure of the Wabi-Sabi allows for complete freedom within the work, allowing her to insert gestures made from various materials, especially ink drawings on Japanese silk, but also watercolor on canvas, oil stick on paper and acrylic on wood.

Silvia and three other fabulous artists are in a group show called PIECE and PLANE at Slate Contemporary in Oakland. She is showing three pieces from her wabi-sabi series.
Slate gallery is open to the public without an appointment Saturdays 12-5 p.m. and weekdays by appointment.
