“Let me take you to these places by way of the paintings. Let me show you a glimpse of life illuminated for a moment.” – Wynne Hayakawa

Wynne Hayakawa’s artwork is based on glimpses of trees taken with a moving camera at slow shutter speeds. Starting with archival prints, Hayakawa adds many layers of paint, changing and simplifying the composition. Her painting is an evolving process – an interplay of color, light, pattern, and space.
