The annual STAR Art Auction at Hunters Point Shipyard will be in the Building 101 auditorium throughout Fall Open Studios, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday.
- Silent auction of artworks donated by Shipyard and Islais Creek artists to the artists’ nonprofit organization. STAR works to preserve affordable work space for artists, provide art education in the Bayview Hunters Point community, and support arts in the community. The annual auction is STAR’s primary source of income.
- No charge to bid.
- Bid competitively or pay the “buy now” price to walk away with your purchase anytime.
- Purchasers need not be present to win. Please note the 5 p.m. closing time Sunday to allow purchasers who are present to pick up their artworks before Open Studios ends at 6 p.m.
- Proxy bidding is available – bidders may authorize a bid to be placed on their behalf, up to a limit they specify.
