2018 STAR Art Auction

Marc Ellen Hamel, "Chelan County"

Marc Ellen Hamel, “Chelan County,” oil on canvas, 6″ x 6″, $300 retail, sold for $150 in 2017 STAR Art Auction

Building 101 Auditorium
Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 20-21, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

Every year during Fall Open Studios, STAR holds its annual auction and fundraiser. Shipyard artists generously donate artwork for the silent auction. This supports STAR’s activities on behalf of the artists and the Bayview Hunters Point community and gives attendees the chance of acquiring high-quality art at a bargain price.

How the silent auction works:

  • Get a bidder number at no charge by completing a simple form with your contact information. Keep your stub.
  • Browse the art in the Auditorium and adjoining hallway whenever you wish during the weekend.
  • Enter your bidder number and bid amount on the form posted beside any artwork(s). Bids may be any amount between the listed starting price (or previous high bid) and the listed retail price. You’ve won if your bid is the highest when the auction closes at 6 p.m. Sunday!
  • You need not be present to win. If you’re there at closing you may pay and walk away with your purchases. Otherwise, STAR will contact winning bidders starting Monday for payment information and to arrange pickup or delivery.
  • Buy an artwork instantly at any time during the weekend by paying the listed BUY NOW retail price.
