Artistic Director and Educator Gregory Dawson, a former Lines Ballet dancer, is foremost a choreographer recognized locally and internationally. At dawsondanceSF his primary mission is to enlighten artists and audiences and broaden awareness of dance. His choreography breaks down classical ballet idiom, transforming it to bring forward the strength and beauty of taking artistic risk and exploring ‘voice’ through movement. As one of our shipyard artists, this accomplished educator talks about this creative process and mosaics.
