You are invited to an artist’s slide talk, Climate Change in the Polar Regions, Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 2 p.m. at the Hunters Point Shipyard in San Francisco, the fourth program in the To The Point series. Berkeley-based art historian Lisa E. Bloom will showcase contemporary art about climate change in the polar regions.
In what ways do contemporary artists portray the environmental devastation taking place in the polar regions? Drawing on aspects of environmentalism and feminism as well as visual culture, Bloom shares her research on artists who, in new and imaginative ways, represent the effects of climate change.
