Beth Shannon

I create a selection of necklaces, earrings and bracelets made of polymer clay. I like working with this material because it is versatile, colorful, and gratifying. It lends itself to a variety to techniques that can look very different — bold or delicate depending on the size, shape and texture. Because I have experience as a painter, I enjoying mixing the clay to create colors and shapes depending on the project. Then I bake the jewelry in an oven at a low temperature. Once it has cooled I sand the piece and either buff the surface or apply resin. The result is a piece of jewelry that is unique, comfortable to wear, and affordable.
