In my paintings, I embrace fantasies of stories and landscapes of Bible. During the process, I explore the existential self and examine personal experiences connecting to the original story’s place and time. I am interested in blurring lines between realism and abstraction, physical and metaphysical, past and present. I try to see understand the “true story” as objectively possible through reasoned mind but constantly come into conflict with my subjective, unconscious judgments. The use of constructed spaces, sometimes it can be in or out, I provide a contemplative engagement with the social and cultural judgments that are embedded within the constructed environment we inhabit now and then.
